A luminous chain of authentic Navajo pearls culminating in seven stunning White Buffalo turquoise gemstones defines this elegant necklace. Handcrafted by Navajo silversmith Angela Martin, this necklace seamlessly fuses two distinct motifs to create a harmonious wearable work of art.
Discovered in 1993, White Buffalo turquoise is only found in the Dry Creek Mine of Tonopah, Nevada. The name derives from the Native American belief that white buffaloes are pure and rare much like the unique stone. Unlike traditional blue turquoise found in copper mines, it develops exclusively near magnesium deposits which alters the stone’s pigmentation. A symbol of Native American heritage, this exceedingly rare gemstone commands a high price due to its scarcity.
